Open-world biker/survival/zombie game Days Gone has had its release date pushed back a couple of months to April 26 2019, Sony has announced.
Citing a crowded February time frame, Sony and Bend Studio want to give Days Gone more time for some last minute touches and to ensure it’s well clear of other big releases in that original window, such as Anthem, Crackdown 3 and Metro Exodus.
As for the game itself, it’s been floating around the likes of E3 for a few years now, where we’ve had the chance to see its post-pandemic world in full, brutal glory. Response to the game has been muted, to say the least, especially with how exhausted a lot of us are with apocalyptic visions of the future featuring zombies by now, but we’ve always kept a cursory eye on it.
Remember, though, these enemies aren’t zombies…they’re ‘Freakers’.
There’s also going to be other human factions to contend with, plus big exploration and crafting systems.
Days Gone is scheduled for release exclusively on PS4 on April 26, 2019.
