Japanese company Kotobukiya has joined up with Warner Bros to release a new line of realistic figures from the Fantastic Beasts series. The first entry is Newt Scamander, based on Eddie Redmayne’s portrayal in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
Initially unveiled at New York Comic Con, Kotobukiya has since posted photos of the figure on their Facebook page. The incredibly detailed figure is a part of Kotobukiya’s ARTFX+ range and is a 1/10 scale rendition.
The figure features Newt with his magical suitcase in one hand and his wand in the other. His Bowtruckle, Pickett, can also be seen in the top pocket of his coat. The figure has magnets in the feet to allow for extra stability when displayed on the metal base that’s included.
It is currently available to pre-order at Kotobukiya’s US distributor, KotoUS, at a cost of $99.99 (around £75 / €86). It is expected to be shipped around June 2019. And KotoUS do ship internationally.
