A Certain Magical Index III will be shown on both FunimationNow and Crunchyroll, the streaming services have revealed. Premiering in Japan on 5 October, the 26-episode third season of the hit sci-fi anime will be simulcast dubbed on Funimation and subbed on Crunchyroll, with the show’s opening episode already watchable on the latter service.

Regular helmer Hiroshi Nishikiori is back to direct the latest season of J.C.Staff’s A Certain Magical Index, which adapts Kazuma Kamachi’s light novel series set in futuristic Academy City. The main cast is also makes a return, with Atsushi Abe voicing luckless protagonist Tōma Kamijo, Yuka Iguchi as nun-on-the-run Index, Nobuhiko Okamoto as former villain Accelerator and Rina Satō as breakout character Mikoto Misaka, an electricity-wielding esper who also stars in her own spin-off series, A Certain Scientific Railgun.
