Sony has announced the line-up of freebie games available to PlayStation Plus members in October, including horror movie adaptation Friday the 13th: the Game and futuristic multiplayer sport Laser League.

Friday the 13th: the Game is an interesting one as it allows you to take on the role of either maniacal killer Jason Voorhees or one of the young Crystal Lake camp counsellors trying to avoid meeting an untimely end. As the man in the hockey mask, your job is to hunt down your victims, while everyone else must work together to trap him and escape his grasp.

Laser League is a lightning-fast competitive game that pits teams of two or three against each other with the goal of eliminating the opposition. You do that by trying to trick, lure or force other players into laser fields dotted around the arena with your chosen abilities or superior reflexes. It’s definitely a unique multiplayer game if you’re looking for something a bit different!

Elsewhere, PS3 owners get access to sci-fi adventure game Master Reboot and artistic puzzler The Bridge. Barmy action game Rocketbirds 2: Evolution and progressive cyberpunk adventure 2064: Read Only Memories are available on Vita. Lastly, PlayLink powered multiplayer quiz game Knowledge is Power is also available as a bonus download.
