A new book of patterns for making cute pompom versions of popular Pokémon has been released by Viz Media. Pompom Pokémon features patterns with photographs and instructions for creating more than 30 classic Pokémon species, including Pikachu, Charmander, Meowth, Snorlax, Jigglypuff, Psyduck and Bulbasaur.

Available on Amazon UK from 4 October, the 80-page volume is penned by Japanese felt toy and plushy maker Sachiko Susa, whose other English-translated guidebooks include Sweet and Simple Needle Felted Animals and It’s a Small World – Felted Friends: Cute and Cuddly Needle Felted Figures from Around the World.

Pompom Pokémon is the second title in Viz Media’s new Japanese craft book series, following the July release of Eriko Teranishi’s Amigurumi: San-X Crochet Patterns.
