Manga Entertainment has added Dragon Ball Z Kai: The Final Chapters to its 2018 roster, with the series set for a three-part release this Q4. Other new additions to UK distributor’s slate include more Dragon Ball Super and two volumes of western animation RWBY.
Originally airing back in 2014-15, DBZ Kai: The Final Chapters continues Toei Animation’s revised and remastered update of Dragon Ball Z, with the first instalment of Kai debuting in 2009 as part of the long-running shonen show’s 20th anniversary celebrations.
Featuring episodes 99-121 of DBZ Kai, The Final Chapters Part 1 arrives on DVD and Blu-ray on 15 October, with Part 2 (episodes 122-144) scheduled for 12 November and the concluding Part 3 (episodes 145-167) following on 10 December.
Manga Entertainment also announced an 8 October release for the fifth instalment of latest Dragon Ball series Dragon Ball Super, while the fourth and fifth volumes of Rooster Teeth’s anime-style fantasy adventure RWBY are both due to hit shelves on 1 October. In addition, Dragon Ball GT will be available as a complete DVD collection from 3 December.
The distributor also noted that Digimon Tamers, originally earmarked for a 17 September release, has now been pushed back a week to 24 September.
