Capcom has confirmed the release date of Monster Hunter World on PC – it’ll be available on August 9.

All the details for the PC version of the immensely popular monster slaying RPG were announced over on the Capcom Unity website, including minimum specs, recommended specs, a new trailer and details about pre-order DLC.

The requirements seem quite reasonable if you’re planning to run the game at 1080p/30fps on low settings, while a hefty processor and graphics card will be needed if you’re hoping to play on high at the same resolution and frame rate. You’ll need an even more power rig if 60fps is your goal.

You can head over to Steam now to pre-order Monster Hunter World, which will get you the Origin Armor Set and Fair Wind Charm as pre-order exclusives.

The release of Monster Hunter World on PC comes half a year after the game’s launch on PS4 and Xbox One. It was also announced at E3 that a collaboration between Monster Hunter World and Final Fantasy XIV is coming soon. The iconic behemoth creature from the Square Enix RPG series will be making its way into the former, while players of the latter will be able to take on Rathalos in a unique encounter.

There’s also a Monster Hunter film in the works starring Milla Jovovich because, well, of course there is…
