Star Wars Legacy have tweeted a rumoured release date for the movie’s trailer this week.

On their Twitter account, they wrote: “Rumour: #SOLO teaser to drop January 12 on GMA.”

ABC’s GMA – or Good Morning America – one of Disney’s preferred platforms for premiering new movie trailers. You might remember, the first teaser trailer for Rogue One, Lucasfilm’s first Star Wars spin-off under the House of Mouse, was released through the show in 2016.

With only five months or so remaining before the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story, only a few leaked images of forthcoming LEGO sets associated with the new movie have provided any details of what we might expect….which could include that infamous attempt at the Kessel Run.

So it seems the first trailer will drop Friday morning – we assume it will be Eastern Time in the US – but there’s no guarantee of that, it could just as easily be Pacific Time. Don’t forget, the UK is five hours ahead of ET and eight hours ahead of PT. So, for example, an 8am PT drop, will be 11am on the East Coast and 4pm in the UK. However, you can be sure it will be on YouTube not long after to ensure everyone around the world can see it.
