Sega has announced a new Fist of the North Star game, titled Hokuto ga Gotoku , which is under development by the studio behind the Yakuza franchise. The announcement came with an over-the-top teaser trailer, featuring series protagonist Kenshiro kicking copious amounts of ass.

Players take control of Kenshiro, who has been living in sorrow after learning that his fiancée Yuria has died. After a ‘final war’ left people fighting to survive, little of civilisation remains. However, the city of Eden has a healthy supply of water and electricity from its giant dome-shaped entertainment district, Sphere City. But Eden is tightly sealed and refuse entry to strangers from the outside. Following a rumour that Yuria is actually alive and living in the city of Eden, Kenshiro travels to the city.

Fist of the North Star will be released for the PlayStation 4 in Japan in 2018.
