Hatsune Miku is dominating the world one step at a time. She has officially graced racing cars, there have been official Hatsune Miku cakes, and she performed on The Late Show in the US. Now, to tie in with her tenth anniversary, the vocaloid has joined forces with Ricoh, who will be releasing a limited edition Hatsune Miku version of their THETA SC 360 Degree Camera.

The THETA SC was originally launched in October 2016 and is capable of capturing high quality 14MP images with twin F2.0 lenses. It can also shoot 360 degree images and record 360 degree video, in full HD. However, the Hatsune Miku version has a few unique features.

The camera will have a turquoise bod, matching Miku’s signature colour, a tenth anniversary logo, and an illustration of Hatsune Miku by KEI, her original character designer. There is also a unique shutter sound that has been produced by Crypton Future Media, the power button lights up in pink, and it all comes in a soft ABITAX case.

Limited to just 3939 units, it will also come with a dog tag with a serial number on it, listing which number you have. Both the dog tag and the ABITAX case will come with a special illustration by fuzichoco, which features Miku using the camera. There will also be a dedicated Hatsune Miku app, so you can import a picture of Hatsune Miku into your images.

Pre-orders for the camera begin from 1 September on the Hatsune Miku THETA SC website, and it will cost $351 (around £270). However, if you’re lucky enough to be attending the Hatsune Miku Magical Mirai event this September, at Makuhari Messe, Chiba city, Ricoh will be showcasing the product as well as selling a limited batch.
