It’s currently grey and grim over here in Blighty, but fortunately, Blizzard has brought some sunshine into our lives by announcing that the Overwatch Summer Games will make a return next week.

Starting August 8th and running until August 29th, the Olympics-themed event will give players the opportunity to earn special loot boxes filled with unique items. You’ll be able to unlock new legendary skins for a number of characters, including Mercy and Junkrat, and items have also been teased for Widowmaker and McCree. All items will be able to purchase if you’d rather not rely on the luck of the draw.

There’s good news if you missed out on any of 2016’s skins too, as they will be made available at a discounted price of 1000 credits.

An update to the hilarious Lucioball mini-game also features in the Summer Games, bringing with it a new Sydney map, tweaks to Lucio’s ‘boop’ ability and a ranking system.
