Activision has confirmed details of when we’ll be able to get our hands on Destiny 2 for the first time by announcing the open beta will begin on 21 July 2017.

The trailer tells all, but to cover it quickly the weekend event for Bungie’s RPG-shooter will grant access to a number of activities including, the game’s opening story mission, Homecoming, and co-operative and competitive modes – so likely a strike and a dash of PvP. It’ll run until 4am GMT on July 23rd.

If you don’t think that’s enough time to get your fill of Guardian action then you can pre-order Destiny 2 to get early access to the beta from July 18th on PS4 and July 19th on Xbox One. Sorry PC players, no love for you!

After that brief taste, you’ll then have a short wait until Destiny 2 is released on 8 September 2017.
