Marking the 20th anniversary of CLAMP’s Cardcaptor Sakura, the manga returned to Kodansha’s Nakayoshi with the Clear Card Arc over the summer. The upcoming Janauary issue of Nakayoshi has now revealed that this will receive an anime adaptation that’s set to air in 2018.

The Clear Card Arc has Sakura and her friends Tomoyo and Syaoran starting their first year of junior high school. However, Sakura has a strange dream that involves transparent cards and a mysterious figure she has never seen before.

The anime series will once again be produced by Madhouse and will be broadcast on NHK from January 2018. The original director, Morio Asaka, will be returning, along with the following voice cast:

Sakura Kinomoto – Sakura Tange

Tomoyo Daidouji – Junko Iwao

Syaoran Li – Motoko Kumai

Keroberos – Aya Hisakawa

Yukito Tsukishiro – Megumi Ogata

Toya Kinomoto – Tomokazu Seki
