VIZ Media is to publish The World of RWBY: The Official Companion this autumn, featuring artwork, interviews and behind-the-scenes insights on Rooster Teeth’s hit animated series.

According to the US publisher, the RWBY book will ‘go behind the scenes with exclusive commentary from Rooster Teeth and explore the show’s creation through in-depth interviews with the writers, animators and voice artists’. Written by Daniel Wallace, whose previous titles have covered pop culture icons such as Star Wars, Ghostbusters and Spider-Man, the hardback book will also showcase artwork from the series, as well as analysing key characters and classic episodes.

Originally created by the late Monty Oum in 2013 and now in its sixth season, anime-style fantasy adventure RWBY tells the story of 15-year-old Beacon Academy student Ruby Rose and her three friends – Ruby’s hard-punching big sis Yang, white-haired heiress Weiss and the cat-eared, katana-wielding Blake.
