Film trilogy Kizumonogatari and slice-of-life series Hanasaku Iroha – Blossoms For Tomorrow will both be getting collector’s edition Blu-ray releases this summer, MVM Entertainment has announced. The UK distributor also revealed details of its upcoming collector’s edition of post-apocalypse drama Girls’ Last Tour.

The latest instalment of studio Shaft’s popular Monogatari franchise to make its way West, the feature-length Kizumonogatari trilogy is a prequel to 2009’s Bakemonogatari, telling the story of how protagonist Koyomi Araragi is turned into a vampire by blonde bloodsucker Kiss-shot. MVM is set to release Part 1: Tekketsu on 27 May, Part 2: Nekketsu on 24 June and Part 3: Reiketsu in July/August.

MVM also announced that the first part of P.A.Works series Hanasaku Iroha – Blossoms For Tomorrow will be hitting shelves on 17 June, featuring episodes 1-13 of the Mari Okada-penned slice-of-life series. Hanasaku Iroha centres on 16-year-old Ohana Matsumae, who goes to live at her grandmother’s hot spring inn. Meanwhile, the distributor revealed that its collector’s edition of 12-episode post-apocalypse series Girls’ Last Tour will come with a 144-page storyboard book and a 32-page art book when it is released on 13 May.
