Darling in the Franxx, My Hero Academia: Two Heroes and Oscar-nominated movie Mirai are among the anime titles set to hit UK home video this spring, as distributors Manga Entertainment and Anime Limited both unveil their Q2 slates.

In addition to Mamoru Hosoda movie Mirai, Anime Limited’s upcoming offerings include Blu-ray collector’s editions of the Warren Ellis-penned Castlevania: Season 1, Production I.G thriller B: The Beginning, part one of SAO spin-off Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online and the subtitle-only first instalment of dancing romcom Welcome To The Ballroom. Also sub-only is the debut season of slice-of-life farming show Silver Spoon, with Season 2 following later in the year. Other series on Anime Limited’s docket include Tokyo Ghoul:re – Part 1, Plastic Memories and the remaining three parts of Twin Star Exorcists.

On the feature film front, the Glasgow-based distributor will be following up last year’s release of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion I – Initiation with Blu-ray collector’s editions of the other two films in the trilogy – Transgression and Glorification. The delayed Blu-ray/DVD Collector’s Edition of Maquia: When the Promised Flower Booms will also be arriving this Q2 – complete with 88-page book, poster and art cards – while Mamoru Oshii’s Jin-Roh The Wolf Brigade will be getting its first ever UK Blu-ray release.

Announced last week, Manga Entertainment’s slate is set to feature some big names, with blockbuster film Dragon Ball Super: Broly (27 May); part one of Studio Trigger-animated mecha series Darling in the Franxx (27 May); part two of studio Pierrot fantasy adventure Black Clover Season 1 (3 June) and My Hero Academia movie Two Heroes (8 April) all set to snag a Q2 home video release. Joining them will be The Ancient Magus’ Bride Part 1 (1 April); Partner up with Pikachu! (15 April); Naruto Shippuden Box 36 (29 April) and Ankama Animation/Studio 4°C collab MFKZ, which gets a digital-only release this June.
