New fantasy anime Mysteria Friends is to make its HIDIVE debut on Sunday 10 February at 17:00 GMT, the streaming service has revealed. Set in a wizarding school that teaches magic to humans, gods and demons alike, the short form series centres on the relationship between human princess Anne (Yōko Hikasa) and half-dragon Grea (Ayaka Fukuhara).

Formerly known as Rage of Bahamut: Manaria Friends, Mysteria Friends is adapted from an in-game event in Cygames’ mobile-based card battler Rage of Bahamut. The first anime series from the games developer’s own animation studio – CygamesPictures – Mysteria Friends features 10 quarter-of-an-hour episodes directed by Hideki Okamoto (Konohana Kitan, Da Capo II). Studio Hibari was originally tapped to make the anime, but Cygames delayed the series and removed its entire staff in 2016 ‘due to various circumstances’.
