The official website and Twitter page for the live-action School-Live! (Gakkō Gurashi!) was updated with a new trailer, stills and a poster with Kurumi wielding her shovel.

Based on Nitroplus’ manga by Norimitsu Kaiho and Sadoru Chiba, School-Live tells of four members of the School Living Club. There’s the twin-tailed shovel-loving Kurumi Ebisuzawa; the strong-willed president of the club Yuri Wakasa; the optimistic but somewhat delusional Yuki Takeya, and blonde haired survivor Miki Naoki. The girls hang out, have fun and live at their school as the sole survivors of a zombie apocalypse.

The new trailer gets straight into zombie action after an infected student ends up flying out a classroom window.

Directed by Issei Shibata, the film stars Nanami Abe as Kurumi Ebisuzawa, Midori Nagatsuki as Yuki Takeya, Wakana Majima as Yuri Wakasa, Rio Kiyohara as Miki Naoki, and Nonoka Ono as their teacher Megumi Sakura.

The manga began in July 2012, in Manga Time Kirara Forward and is still ongoing. It was also adapted into a 12 episode anime series by Lerche which ran in 2015.

School-Live! opens in Japan on 25 January 2019.
