If you’ve ever wanted to show off just how much you love Pokémon, but the office dress code won’t allow you to express yourself by wearing a Pikachu t-shirt at work, then this new line of dress shirts might be just what you’re looking for. The Pokémon Company and custom shirt company Original Stitch have joined together to produce a new label of dress shirts, simply titled Pokémon Shirts.

So what makes this new line unique? Well, rather than just selling you a shirt with a Pokémon on it, you can customise the shirt with a pattern featuring any of the original 151 Generation I Pokémon. For example, you may decide that you want a shirt with a Squirtle pattern. You can choose to have that pattern on just the collar, the cuffs, the pocket, or the whole shirt. You can also mix and match by having up to six different Pokemon patterns on one shirt.

The Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel uploaded a commercial video promoting Pokémon Shirts. In it we see a man heading to work, but on the way he sees a child wearing a Charmander cap. It brings back happy memories of playing Pokémon Red on the Nintendo Game Boy. Back at home, the man decides to order one of Original Stitch’s Pokémon Shirts with a Charmander pattern. Days later, he’s wearing that very shirt while running late for work and ends up meeting the same boy with the Charmander cap.

If you’re thinking of catching them all, then each shirt will be priced ¥10,000 (about $91 / £70). Original Stitch start taking orders from the Pokémon Shirts website in February. Before the official launch, the site is starting off with a limited promotional period from 26 to 28 January. During this time fans can order from 20 designs that include Pikachu, Eevee, Squirtle, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Vulpix, Geodude, Slowpoke, Fearow, Ponyta, Magikarp, Raticate, Slowbro, Pidgeot, Beedril, Golem, Poliwag, Kakuna, Jigglypuff, and Gyarados.

If you want to get your hands on one yourself, it appears that there is no indication on the website’s FAQ that these will be delivered worldwide. Original Stitch state on their own website that while the intention is to deliver to the world, cutting down on costs means that as of August 2018 they now only ship to the US and Japan. If you’re not in either of those two countries then you’ll have to consider using a deputy service.
