MCM Birmingham Comic Con is all set for a Round Table reunion, with MCM’s debut show of 2019 welcoming Merlin stars Alexander Vlahos (Versailles), Tom Hopper (Black Sails, Game of Thrones) and Rupert Young (The Good Karma Hospital) when it returns to the NEC in March.

Since debuting in BBC Wales drama Crash in 2009, Alexander Vlahos’ on-screen journey has taken him from Camelot to Versailles, starring as dangerous druid Mordred in much-loved Arthurian fantasy Merlin and the flamboyant Philippe, Duke of Orléans in hit historical drama Versailles, whose third and final season aired last year.

Following his role as gentle giant Sir Percival in Merlin, Tom Hopper went on to star as pirate leader Billy Bones in buccaneering Starz series Black Sails, which ran from 2014-2017. Other small screen credits include playing House Tarly heir Dickon Tarly in Season 7 of hit HBO fantasy drama Game of Thrones. You can read our interview with Hopper here.

Recently appearing in Shakespearean show Will, medical drama The Good Karma Hospital and BAFTA-winning mockumentary People Just Do Nothing, Rupert Young is best known as Merlin’s loyal Sir Leon. The first Knight of the Round Table we meet in the series, Sir Leon defied Morgana when she seized Camelot, escaping with Gwen to join Arthur.

MCM Birmingham Comic Con comes to the NEC on 23-24 March 2019. Tickets to the show are available here.
