Just when you think the world of gaming couldn’t possibly find room for another card game along comes yet another one. This time it’s courtesy of Square Enix Japan, who has announced the Final Fantasy Digital Card Game for PC, iOS and Android devices.

Siliconera spotted the announcement for us, where they go on to translate the official announcement from Square Enix. What we’ve gleaned from this is that you’ll build decks made up from famous characters from across the entire history of the series. Some are represented by cute pixel art sprites you can see in the screenshot above.

The game isn’t readily available just yet, however. If you have a Yahoo! Japan account you can register to access the closed beta that is scheduled to take place from January 18-25. You’ll need to sign up by January 15 to do so.

Outside of that, it’s not been made clear when or if the Final Fantasy Digital Card Game will see a release outside of Japan. We’ll be keeping a close eye on it for you, though!
