An English-subbed trailer has been posted for Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel II – Lost Butterfly, the second film in the fantasy franchise’s Heaven’s Feel trilogy. Having premiered in Japan earlier this month, the movie comes to US and Canadian theatres for a one-night showing on Thursday 14 March courtesy of Fathom Events and Aniplex.

Made by animation studio Ufotable and directed by Tomonori Sudou, the dark-themed Lost Butterfly follows directly on from trilogy opener Presage Flower, continuing to tell the story of the Fifth Holy Grail War and explore the relationship between teen protagonist Shirou Emiya, master of Saber, and his friend Sakura Matou, the true master of Rider. Tickets to North American screenings of Lost Butterfly can be booked here.

The first film in the Fate/stay Night – Heaven’s Feel series, Presage Flower, had its UK big screen premiere last October as part of the Scotland Loves Anime film festival, and is set to be released on Blu-ray by MVM Entertainment on Monday 15 April. The final film in the trilogy, Spring Song, is slated to debut in Japanese theatres in Q2 2020.
