Card-battling videogame Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission is heading to the US and Europe on 5 April, publisher Bandai Namco has announced. The first game in the series to be released in the West, the digital card game will be released on both Nintendo Switch and Steam.

Set in Hero Town, an alternate reality where a Dragon Ball card game is the most popular form of entertainment, Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission features fighters from across all of the Dragon Ball universes – including a brand new character named Sealas designed by Toyotarou, illustrator of the Dragon Ball Super manga series.

Players will take on the role of Beat, who wants to be world champion of Super Dragon Ball Heroes. However, when the virtual card game’s villains start wreaking havoc in real life, Beat must team up with Dragon Ball’s famous heroes to lay the smackdown on the bad guys. In total, Bandai Namco says that World Mission will include 350 fighters and more than 1,000 collectable cards drawn from the franchise’s arcade and Nintendo 3DS titles, with all cards being unlocked by playing the game rather than buying digital packs.
