To promote the DVD and Blu-ray release of Shane Black’s The Predator in the US, 20th Century Fox revealed that they have released a stop-frame animated short.

The short features a Predator at the North Pole hunting Santa. Standing in its way is Santa’s elf Sprinkles, and Santa’s reindeer, that just so happen to be fully armed with assault rifles. The short originally aired in the US during an episode of BoJack Horseman on Comedy Central. It is now online for your viewing pleasure.

For an official two minute short, it’s self-aware, filled with references to the Predator films (note the ‘trophy’ on the Christmas tree) and even Alien Vs Predator. It is also incredibly violent, with quite the body count. Given the potential here, it deserves to be extended into a feature.
