Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal, the full 3D remake of the fighting game series’ first entry in the West, will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Steam on 22 January, publisher XSEED Games has announced.
The latest game in the fanservice-heavy brawler updates the original 2011 Nintendo 3DS game – released in North America in 2013 – with new combat mechanics, character models and a wealth of new outfits for your scrapping schoolgirls. However, XSEED was instructed to remove the interactive ‘Intimacy Mode’ – essentially a boob-fondling undress-em-up – from the PS4 version, although the controversial mode remains intact on the PC release.
In addition to the standard Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal, XSEED is releasing two PS4 limited editions – the ‘Tailor-Made’ and ‘At the Seams’ versions. The ‘Tailor-Made’ edition comes with a two-disc soundtrack containing 58 tracks, a DLC key containing Yumi as a playable character and various other goodies, while the ‘At the Seams’ option also adds six ‘Busty Besties’ – rubber character straps with display stands.
