After an ESRB listing kind of ruined the surprise at the end of November, Square Enix has now officially announced that Nier Automata: Game of the Yorha Edition will be released on PS4 and PC on February 26, 2019.

This new package will include the base game as well as all previously released DLC for Nier Automata. That includes the cumbersomely-titled 3C3C1D119440927 Expansion DLC, which added new costumes for each of the game’s characters, plus a trio of special combat encounters. You’ll also get 6 pod designs and a Machine Mask Accessory.

PS4 players get a Dynamic Theme, 15 PSN avatars, the Play System Pod Skin and the amazarashi Head Pod Skin included as a special treat, while PC players will receive two wallpapers as a bonus.

The brilliant, barmy and fourth-wall breaking action-RPG was one of the most exciting and original games of 2017, so this new re-release is the perfect opportunity to pick it up for yourself if you’ve missed it previously and a fitting way to celebrate the game’s two-year anniversary.

Nier Automata appears to have been quite a success for Square Enix too, as it was recently reported that the game has shipped over 3 million copies worldwide. Yoko Taro and the team at Platinum Games must be very happy indeed!
