After an absolute age, a new trailer teasing the return of everyone’s favourite massive, mutated, radioactive reptile has arrived. The sequel to the 2014 American franchise relaunch comes from Michael Dougherty and stars Stranger Things breakout Millie Bobby Brown alongside Vera Farmiga and Kyle Chandler.

This time, Godzilla is joined by some of his fellow iconic monsters including the enormous insectoid Mothra, the three-headed beast King Ghidorah and the titanic Pteranodon Rodan.

The followup will see the return of Monarch, the mysterious “crypto-zoological agency” introduced in Godzilla and the shared-universe prequel Kong: Skull Island, who face off against the ancient super-species once again in their mission to protect human existence.

The film also stars Bradley Whitford, Ken Watanabe, O’Shea Jackson Jr, Thomas Middleditch and Sally Hawkins and hits theaters May 31, 2019.
