Earlier this year, Classic Stills announced that they were putting together a limited edition collection of Doctor Who fine art prints, as well as allowing fans the opportunity to decide which iconic moments should be a part of the collection. Following hundreds of entries, the collection is now live.

The collection includes 20 photos, from William Hartnell’s Doctor all the way through to Jodie Whittaker’s. They consist of on-set photography, rare behind-the-scenes moments and publicity stills. Taken from the BBC Photo Archive, the original negatives have been rescanned in ‘ultra-high definition’ for the first time.

“Releasing the first collection of Doctor Who fine art prints is a historic moment for fans, and for the BBC,” said Classic Stills CEO Rene Freling. “Some of the iconic photographs have been re-scanned to show a level of detail never seen before, making this a genuine visual feast for everyone who loves Doctor Who.”

The most requested scene from fans was from Series 2, Episode 13: ‘Doomsday’, where the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant), says goodbye to Rose Tyler (Billie Piper), on Bad Wolf Bay.

Each photo is limited to just 100 prints. Individually-numbered, they are hand-framed and presented with a certificate of authenticity. Prices start from $149 / £125.

The Doctor Who collection is available to purchase now from the US and Canada and the UK and Ireland.
