Path of Exile announced for PS4

Free-to-play action-RPG sensation Path of Exile will be released on PS4 in 2018, developer Grinding Gear Games has announced.

Originally released on PC back in 2013, Path of Exile borrows a lot from classic PC RPGs such as the Diablo series to deliver a very similar experience as a free-to-play game. It is notorious for its flexibility in terms of character builds, however, with players regularly digging into the game’s massive skill tree to find new setups to tear through the game.

Regular updates and expansions have seen Path of Exile go from strength-to-strength over the years, including an Xbox One release back in 2017, and now many despondent Diablo players have been finding a new home for their action RPG needs there.

In fact, it might see a few more new players heading that way after many were left disappointed by the announcement of mobile game Diablo Immortal at Blizzcon when many expected their first glimpse of Diablo 4. Blizzard did try to calm those rumours beforehand but didn’t quite manage to do so successfully!

Path of Exile is scheduled for release on PS4 in 2018.
