Get your shovel ready, for a trailer and poster has appeared on the official website for the live-action School-Live! (Gakkō Gurashi!).

Initially reported on Natalie, the film is based on Nitroplus’ manga by Norimitsu Kaiho and Sadoru Chiba, and focuses on four members of the School Living Club. There’s the twin-tailed shovel-loving Kurumi Ebisuzawa; the strong-willed president of the club Yuri Wakasa; the optimistic but somewhat delusional Yuki Takeya, and blonde haired survivor Miki Naoki. The girls hang out, have fun and live at their school as the sole survivors of a zombie apocalypse.

The 60-second trailer features the four of them eating together, having pillow fights and sleeping at the school. This then gives way to the moment Yuki realises what is actually happening around her and the sight of plenty of zombies.

Directed by Issei Shibata it stars Nanami Abe as Kurumi Ebisuzawa, Midori Nagatsuki as Yuki Takeya, Wakana Majima as Yuri Wakasa, Rio Kiyohara as Miki Naoki, and Nonoka Ono as their teacher Megumi Sakura.

The manga began in July 2012, in Manga Time Kirara Forward and is still ongoing. It was also adapted into a 12 episode anime series by Lerche which ran in 2015.

School-Live! opens in Japan in January 2019.
