The first full trailer has been released for slice-of-life fantasy anime Endro~!, whose cutely-drawn heroines will be making their small screen debut in Japan on 12 January.
Produced by Studio Gokumi, the makers of Kinmoza, Tsuredure Children and this season’s Ms. Vampire who lives in my neighbourhood, the upcoming series follows a five-strong party of wannabe wizards and warriors at Adventurer School, where they are training to defeat the Demon King, who resurrects from time-to-time to trouble Nararu Island.
Ditzy pink-haired heroine Yūsha (Hikaru Akao) is joined by comically serious elf Seira (Shiina Natsukawa), quiet mage Mei (Inori Minase) and energetic, food-loving warrior Fai (Ari Ozawa) in this fluffy take on fantasy tropes. Their teacher is petite demon girl Mao (Misaki Kuno), while Momo Asakura voices Princess Rona, ruler of the island’s only kingdom. Character design comes courtesy of YuruYuri creator Namori, whose work is also on show in currently-airing schoolgirl spy comedy Release The Spyce.
