Tabletop publisher Triton Noir’s kickstarter for its Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood of Venice board game is now live, with the crowdfunding campaign passing the £300,000 mark in its first 24 hours.

Using a rules set that builds on the Montreal studio’s debut game V-Commandos, the co-operative, miniatures-heavy Brotherhood of Venice plunges 1-4 players into the shadowy world of Ubisoft’s iconic Assassin’s Creed franchise. Designed by Thibaud de la Touanne (V-Commandos), Manuel Rozoy (T.I.M.E Stories) and Fabrice Lamidey, the story-driven title sees players using both stealth and combat to complete a series of missions.

Set between the events of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, the game is played across a campaign spanning several months of 1509, with players developing the headquarters of the Brotherhood of Assassins in Venice following Ezio Auditore da Firenze’s victory over Cesare Borgia and his cronies.

Stretch goals already unlocked include miniatures for genius inventor Leonardo da Vinci and his (not-so-miniature) cannon-armed tank, as well as a Courtesans HQ that expands the replayability of the game by introducing an alternative suite of headquarters abilities and events.
