Animator and video artist Hibiki Yoshizaki, best known as the director of risqué short ME!ME!ME!, is to be the Anime Guest of Honour at this month’s MCM London Comic Con.

Springing to worldwide prominence after his jaw-dropping music video ME!ME!ME! was featured as part of the Japan Animator Expo online project, Hibiki Yoshizaki was subsequently taken on by one of the Expo’s organisers, Studio Khara – the brainchild of acclaimed Evangelion creator Hideaki Anno.

Yoshizaki will be taking part in an Anime Guest of Honour panel on MCM London’s Centre Stage on Saturday 27 October, as well as meeting fans in two free signing sessions – one on the Saturday of the show and the other on the Sunday.

Distributor Anime Limited, who arranged Yoshizaki’s visit to MCM London, has also teamed up with Studio Khara to bring a ME!ME!ME! exhibition to the comic con. On display outside Japan for the first time, the exhibition will feature screenings of ME!ME!ME! alongside artwork from the film and a selection of merch that includes the official art book.

The ME!ME!ME! exhibition will be free to enter for MCM London visitors and open throughout all three days of the ExCel event. Due to the anime’s adult nature, the exhibition will be restricted to attendees over the age of 18, however, so remember to bring some I.D. to the show with you!

MCM London Comic Con comes to town on 26-28 October 2018. Tickets are available here.
