Not one to let Nintendo have all the fun with micro-consoles, Sony has announced the PlayStation Classic: a pared down version of their original PS1 console with 20 pre-installed classic games.

Games announced for the device so far include Final Fantasy 7 (an obvious inclusion), Tekken 3, Ridge Racer Type 4, Wild Arms and Jumping Flash.

The console itself is an exact replica of the bulky grey PS1 but has been reduced in size by 45% and comes with two original style wired PlayStation controllers. We can already see ourselves missing those analogue sticks.

The PlayStation Classic is available to pre-order from Amazon right now for £89.99. It’ll be released on December 3rd.
