Kyoto Animation has released a new teaser trailer for upcoming archery anime Tsurune to introduce us to the series’ five-strong central cast.

Set to premiere on Japanese television in the early hours of 15 October, Tsurune stars the five members of Kazemai High School’s Archery Club – main character Minato Narumiya (voiced by Yūto Uemura), his best friend Seiya Takehaya (Aoi Ichikawa), cheerful Ryōhei Yamanouchi (Ryōta Suzuki), hot-blooded Kaito Onogi (Kaito Ishikawa) and charismatic chick magnet Nanao Kisaragi (Shōgo Yano).

Adapting a light novel by Kotoko Ayano, Tsurune will be the first full series directed by Takuya Yamamura, who has previously helmed episodes of Sound! Euphonium and Violet Evergarden. Michiko Yokote, who is also scripting Girls und Panzer director Tsutomu Mizushima’s new series Kotobuki, is in charge of series composition, while Miku Kadowaki (Amagi Brilliant Park, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid) handles character design.
