Fantasy anime In Another World With My Smartphone will hit UK stores on 29 October, distributor Sony Pictures Home Entertainment officially confirmed today. Adapted from a light novel series by Patora Fuyuhara and sporting a dozen episodes, the harem-style fantasy romp will be released as a DVD and Blu-ray combo pack.

Made by Production Reed, the anime studio behind this year’s Cutie Honey Universe, In Another World With My Smartphone stars 15-year-old Touya Mochizuki. After accidentally killing Touya with a stray lightning bolt, God makes amends by re-creating the teen in a magical world along with his favourite accessory – his smartphone.

While he can’t call anyone in our world on it, Touya’s smartphone proves pretty handy – it can still access the internet, can be recharged with magical energy and lets him talk directly with God. On top of that, Touya is an ultra badass spellslinger now – which means he soon finds himself leading a party of adventurers. Specifically, cute girl adventurers.

In Another World With My Smartphone’s original voice cast sees Katsumi Fukuhara star as Touya, alongside Maaya Uchida (Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions) and Chinatsu Akasaki (Re:Zero, Soulcalibur VI). Meanwhile, the English dub features Josh Grelle (Attack On Titan), Monica Rial (Dragon Ball Z) and Felecia Angelle (Danganronpa, Ben-To).
