If you’re interested in the story of how Prince Noctis and his band of mates reclaimed the throne of Lucis but don’t have 30 hours spare to play through the whole of Final Fantasy 15, then you might be interested in Final Fantasy 15 Pocket Edition, which is available now on PS4 and Xbox One.

Originally released on mobile, the Chibi spin on Square Enix’s big RPG tells an abridged version of the game’s story over ten chapters. Much of the open world content has – understandably – been cut from the game too, with a focus instead on main story missions and a few side quests.

Most impressively, voice acting and music from the original game has been kept relatively intact. So, while you’re not getting the full Final Fantasy 15 experience, this isn’t such a terrible way to play the game.

Though the announcement was planned for this week’s cancelled Nintendo Direct, Square Enix also confirmed that Final Fantasy 15 Pocket Edition will be coming to Nintendo Switch “soon”.
