Following the reveal of an ESRB rating a few days ago, Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of the Night & Rondo of Blood has been officially announced by Konami to be released for PS4, with an announcement trailer.

The two classic games from the Castlevania franchise, Symphony of the Night and Rondo of Blood will be the original games emulated for the PS4, with minor additions. As revealed on PlayStation Blog there’s 4K/1080p resolution upscaling, high-resolution backgrounds, different rendering options (such as smoothing and full), and Trophy support.

Rondo of Blood was initially released in Japan on the PC Engine in 1993 and was remade for its Western release on the SNES in 1995 as Castlevania: Vampire’s Kiss. It’s sequel Symphony of the Night was released on the PS1 in 1997 and is regarded as not just one of the best Castlevania games, but one of the greatest games of all time.

Castlevania Requiem: Symphony of the Night & Rondo of Blood will be available via the PlayStation store on 26 October 2018.
