A tabletop title based on Ubisoft’s iconic Assassin’s Creed franchise is heading to Kickstarter in November, Canadian board game developer Triton Noir has announced.

Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood of Venice will be a 1-4 player co-operative tactical board game of infiltration and assassination set in Renaissance Italy. Players will take on the role of assassins, progressing through a mission-based campaign against their Templar foes while also developing their abilities and new Venetian headquarters.

According to the Triton Noir, the rules of Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood of Venice will build on the Montreal studio’s first game, well-received 2016 title V-Commandos. Set to launch on Kickstarter on 13 November, Brotherhood of Venice will also feature dozens of miniatures representing well-known characters from the franchise, as well as new additions.

While the studio’s track record with V-Commandos and its expansions will raise expectations of board gamers, Triton Noir reassured Assassin’s Creed fans that it will also work closely with Ubisoft Monstreal to ensure that the franchise’ DNA is ‘fully respected’ – adding that the entire team has previously worked on Assassin’s Creed projects at Ubisoft.
