PQube is bringing ecchi visual novel Punch Line to the West, with the panty-obsessed supernatural adventure heading to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Europe on 31 August, followed by a North America release on 25 September.

Adapted from studio MAPPA’s 2015 anime series and sporting the same writer in Kotaro Uchikoshi (Zero Escape), Punch Line sees players take on the role of the ghostly Yūta – haunting a house full of girls while solving puzzles, playing tricks and trying not to doom humanity by eyeballing too many panties. Wait, what?

Yep, it turns out that when Yūta sees too many panties, the high schooler gets over-excited, faints …and somehow causes an asteroid to hit the Earth and wipe out all life from the planet. Despite the bonkers premise and infatuation with lacy unmentionables, the Punch Line anime series was our surprise guilty pleasure when Manga Entertainment released it back in August 2016 – here’s hoping the visual novel proves to be just as fun.

PQube is also producing an EU-exclusive limited edition version of the game for both PS4 and Vita, featuring a different box design and a 128-page page art book.
