Square Enix has released a new trailer to introduce the diverse cast of characters that’ll feature in the upcoming JRPG, Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age.

Fans of the series will already know that each character has been designed by well-known manga artist Akira Toriyama. The new trailer gives each one a few moments to shine: from ‘partner in crime’ Erik to ‘noble martial artist’ Jade.

Other characters who join the hero on his quest include the young mage Veronica, the chilled-out healer Serena, the eccentric entertainer Sylvando and a strange old man named Rab.

We played a good chunk of Dragon Quest 11 back in June, finding it to be a “cosy and comfortable” game that should please long-time JPRG fans and those looking for an introduction to the series.

Dragon Quest 11: Echoes of an Elusive Age will be available on September 4 for PS4 and PC.
