Rooster Teeth’s gen:LOCK arrives January 2019, and they have revealed a new teaser, this time featuring David Tennant as Dr. Rufus Weller.

The 3D animated series has Earth on the losing side of a global war. In order to tip the balance, the Experimental Science Unit (ESU) recruits a team of young pilots who can control the next generation of mecha, giant, robotic, weaponised bodies.

Revealed at RTX Austin and via Entertainment Weekley, the teaser features Dr. Weller conversing with Col. Raquel Marin (Monica Rial) about advancements on the mecha and that he has found a new pilot, Yasamin Madrani.

The cast also includes Michael B. Jordan as rebel pilot Julian Chase, Dakota Fanning as expert pilot Miranda Worth and Kōichi Yamadera as Kazu Iida, a Japanese transfer who helps fight alongside Chase. Also announced to be joining the cast are Lindsay Jones, Miles Luna, Chad James and Blaine Gibson.
