Following a brief delay from its originally intended release date back in May, Dark Souls Remastered will now be available for Nintendo Switch on October 19.
Bandai Namco revealed the new release date alongside confirmation that the Solaire of Astora amiibo will also be made available on the same day. That will allow you to unlock the ‘Praise the Sun’ gesture from the beginning of the game if you simply can’t wait to unlock it through normal play.
As for the tech specs of Darks Souls Remastered on Switch, it’ll run in 1080p at 30fps when played in TV mode and in 720p at the same frame rate in handheld mode. That’s a slight reduction from the 60fps performance you can get on the PS4 and Xbox One version.
However, it will still include full online play for up to six players. A network test for these features will be made available to try out soon.
Darks Souls Remastered is currently available for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
