Crunchyroll has just added Production I.G sci-fi mystery Eden of the East to its anime catalogue. Now available together with its two movies, The King of Eden and Paradise Lost, the show can be streamed by viewers in the UK & Ireland, US, Canada and South Africa.

Written and directed by Kenji Kamiyama (Ghost in the Shell: SAC, 009 Re:Cyborg), the 11-episode Eden of the East centres on Akira Takizawa, a young man who finds himself outside the White House with no memories, no clothes and a mobile loaded with 8.2 billion yen in digital currency. A mysterious ‘phone call informs him that he is now part of a game, and that he must spend all the money and ‘save Japan’. Together with university student Saki and her friends, Akira must find out what the hell’s going on …and quickly!

Also new to the Crunchyroll catalogue are quirky Brain’s Base romcom Princess Jellyfish and OLM’s videogame spin-off Disgaea – although sadly for those of us in Blighty, both shows are currently only available to watch in the United States and Canada.
