Capcom has unveiled a jam-packed Collector’s Edition for the upcoming Resident Evil 2 remake.
Currently only set to be available in North America (boo!), the Resident Evil 2 Collector’s Edition comes with a whole host of physical and digital bonus items in an R.P.D item box package that would appease any massive fan of the series.
First up, you get a copy of the game, of course, as well as the digital soundtrack and a voucher for the Deluxe DLC Pack. This contains the original version’s soundtrack files to swap into the game, a number of bonus costumes for Leon and Claire, plus the Samurai Edge – Albert Model Deluxe weapon. Pre-orders also get access to two more Deluxe weapons: the Samurai Edge – Chris Model and Samurai Edge – Jill Model. We’re assuming these are all swords.
The extra physical goodies include a 12″ Leon S. Kennedy figure looking like a badass in his R.P.D uniform, some R.P.D renovation blueprints that show how the police headquarters were converted from a museum and a 32-page collector’s artbook full of photos and files documenting the zombie outbreak in Racoon City.
The Resident Evil 2 Collector’s Edition is available to pre-order now in North America from Gamestop and EB Games for $199.99. We’ll keep praying for a European release date too.
I better start saving because I need this in my life! I am definitely pre-ordering this edition.
