To celebrate the announcement of their second album, Dark All Day, GUNSHIP has released a music video for the album’s title track. Both the track and the video is a homage to the 1987 film The Lost Boys. The video and the track also features a performance from the film’s sax man, Tim Cappello, reprising his role. On vocals is singer/songwriter Indiana, of Solo Dancing.

GUNSHIP consists of Dan Haigh, Alex Westaway and Alex Gingell. The group uses vintage analogue synthesizers and other retro electronic gear from the 1980s to create their sound. Driven and inspired by nostalgia for a bygone era, their approach carries through to their music videos. Having worked with the likes of John Carpenter, Wil Wheaton and Lee Hardcastle, their music videos are often loaded with nostalgic references, mostly to films from the 1980s.

The music video for Dark All Day is presented in 4K and has GUNSHIP driving into The Lost Boys’ fictional town of Santa Carla to play a show only to find that it has been infested with vampires. So it falls upon their vampire slaying bodyguards to protect them. Directed by The Junquera Brothers, the anime portion was produced by Angry Metal Studios and features references to films such as Blade, From Dusk Till Dawn, Land of the Dead, Predator, Unbreakable, as well the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Be warned that there is a lot of blood.
