Futurama & Samurai Jack star Phil LaMarr announced for MCM Manchester

Samurai Jack, Futurama and Clone Wars star Phil LaMarr is the latest leading voice actor to be announced as a special guest at this month’s MCM Manchester Comic Con.

Best known in the live action world for playing Marvin in Pulp Fiction and as one of the original cast members of award-winning sketch show MADtv, Los Angeles native LaMarr has made a name with animation fans as the sword-wielding star of Samurai Jack, Hermes in Futurama, Green Lantern in Justice League and Bail Organa in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

As well as appearing in this year’s Incredibles 2, LaMarr has provided voices for a host of acclaimed animated series including Family Guy, BoJack Horseman, Star Wars Rebels, Adventure Time, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Young Justice, King of the Hill, Harvey Birdman, Afro Samurai, Ultimate Spider-Man and The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

In addition, the versatile American actor’s videogame credits range from Dota 2, Diablo III and Final Fantasy XII to Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, Metal Gear Solid and Mortal Kombat X, while his live action résumé lists hit TV shows such as Veep, Lucifer, Grey’s Anatomy, Get Shorty and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
