We’ve been given a first glimpse of the upcoming Nisekoi – False Love live action movie, with the film’s newly-launched website unveiling a 30-second promo video and poster art.

A live action adaptation of Naoshi Komi’s manga romcom about two high schoolers who have to pretend to be a couple to prevent a turf war from breaking out between their mob boss fathers’ gangs, Nisekoi – False Love launches in Japanese cinemas on 21 December.

Distributed by Toho and Universal Pictures, Nisekoi – False Love stars Sexy Zone idol group member Kento Nakajima (Silver Spoon) as chick magnet male protagonist Raku Ichijo and Ayami Nakajo (Anonymous Noise, Fatal Frame) as belligerent blonde female lead Chitoge Kirisaki. Meanwhile, 15-year-old Natsumi Ikema plays Raku’s crush Kosaki Onodera; Kaede Aono plays boyish-looking hitgirl Seshirō Tsugumi and former AKB48 member Haruka Shimazaki plays police commissioner’s daughter Marika Tachibana.

The Nisekoi – False Love manga series has already been adapted as an anime, with animation studio Shaft producing a 20-episode series back in 2014, plus a 12 episode sequel season a year later.
