Anime streaming service Crunchyroll has added a raft of new series to its summer 2018 simulcast line-up, all but four of which are already confirmed to be licensed for streaming in the UK. Here’s a breakdown of all the newly-announced titles to date:

Angels of Death – Adapted from a horror videogame, this 16-episode series from J.C.Staff stars 13-year-old Rachel, who finds herself trapped inside an abandoned building with no memories and a scythe-wielding, bandaged murderer for company. Watch the trailer here.

Asobi Asobase –Workshop of Fun- – Studio Lerche anime adapted from Rin Suzukawa’s gag manga about girls playing games. Directed by Seiji Kishi (Assassination Classroom, Persona 4: The Animation) this comedy centres on three school friends – Hanako, Kasumi and Olivia.

Attack on Titan Season 3 – Not yet confirmed for UK – Wit Studio’s blockbuster returns to find Hange experimenting on Eren to find out more about his ability. But when their link to the secrets behind the wall is murdered, the squad must move out and find a new refuge… although a figure from Levi’s past has other ideas. Watch the trailer here.

Cells at Work! – Not yet confirmed for UK, premieres July 7 at 9:30am Pacific Time – Set inside a human body, this David Production adaptation of Akane Shimizu’s manga stars a ditzy red blood cell and her microscopic buddies. Watch the trailer here.

Chio’s School Road – Follow high school girl Chio Miyamo on her eventful daily commutes to school in this 12-episode comedy from animation studio Diomedéa, adapted from a manga series by Tadataka Kawasaki.

Encouragement of Climb Season 3 – First episode already available – More mountaineering adventures with Aoi, Hinata, Kaede, Kokona and Honoka as 8-Bit’s slice-of-life outdoors series returns for another 13 episodes.

Hanebado! – First episode already available – Also known as Hanebad!, this Liden Films sports series adapts Kōsuke Hamada’s ongoing manga about Ayano Hanesaki and the girls of Kitakomachi High School’s badminton team.

Harukana Receive – Helmed by Toshiyuki Kubooka and produced by C2C, this sports series follows lanky high schooler Haruka as she moves to Okinawa, falls in love with beach life and teams up with her diminutive cousin Kanata to enter a volleyball tournament.

Holmes of Kyoto – Holmes, a young man whose family runs a Kyoto antiques shop, has the ability to read people and sniff out genuine antiques. Together with schoolgirl Aoi Maki, he solves mysteries surrounding antiques brought to the shop. Watch the trailer here.

THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS Theater 3rd Season – Animation studio Gathering’s series of five-minute slice of life comedy shorts spinning off the popular idol franchise continues, giving us more fun-filled silliness featuring the cast of Cinderella Girls.

ISLAND – First episode already available – This Keiichiro Kawaguchi-directed sci-fi romance from studio Feel opens with a young man named Setsuna washing ashore on the island of Urashima, which has been all but forgotten by the mainland. Claiming to be a time-traveller who has lost his memory, Setsuna soon meets three girls – Rinne, Karen and Sar.

How Not to Summon a Demon Lord – Takuma Sakamoto, the teen protagonist of Ajia-do Animation Works’ fantasy harem comedy, finds himself summoned to the world of his favourite MMORPG by two girls, blonde elf Shera and the cat-eared Rem. Watch the trailer here.

The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar – Animation studio EMT² adapts this Norse-themed light novel fantasy series about 16-year-old schoolboy Yuto Suoh, who accidentally winds up in the warring world of Yggdrasil with a bevy of beautiful magic-wielding battle maidens eager to do his bidding. Monster Strike 3rd Season – More monster-catching adventures in this Studio Hibari-produced net anime adaptation of the Japanese mobile game franchise.

Mr. Tonegawa Middle Management Blues – A spin-off of Nobuyuki Fukumoto gambling manga Tobaku Mokushiroku Kaiji, this Madhouse show follows larger-than-life manager Yukio Tonegawa tasked with running the Game of Death, a sinister project aimed at punishing debtors.

Starlight Promises – Also known as Yakusoku no Nanaya Matsuri, this hour-long drama from studios XFlag and Yokohama Animation Lab sees high schooler Shoma head off to the Tanabata Seven Night Festival deep in the mountains, where he meets a girl named Shiori.

One Room Season 2 – First episode already available – Zero-G replaces Typhoon Graphics as the lead animation studio for this second season of slice-of-life romance shorts that make the viewer the protagonist.

Overlord III – Not yet confirmed for UK – Our fave (allegedly) evil lich lord, skeletal spell-slinger Ainz Ooal Gown returns for 13 more world-conquering episodes of Madhouse’s fantasy MMO-set adventure.

To Be Heroine – Episodes already available – The follow-up to Haoliners Animation League and Studio LAN’s comedy collaboration To be Hero, To Be Heroine sees smart high school girl Futaba sucked into another dimension where darkness rules …and the inhabitants are babies wearing only their underpants. Wait, what?

Working Buddies! Season 2 – More five minute shorts about a pair of college student cats – upbeat orange tabby Tapio Chatorazawa and his sourpuss Russian Blue buddy Kuehiko Roshihara – who work odd jobs together.

YAMISHIBAI 6th: Japanese Ghost Stories – Another compendium of short horror stories based on creepy Japanese folklore and urban legends, with animation inspired by kamishibai – a style of ‘paper theatre’ popular in Depression and post-war era Japan.

Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs – Not yet confirmed for UK, premieres July 14 at 9:00am Pacific Time – Adapted from Tadahiro Miura’s supernatural harem comedy manga, this Xebec series sees a luckless high schooler lodging in a haunted former hot springs inn. Watch the trailer here.
