Time to get excited again. Following the first, phenomenal full trailer, 20th Century Fox has released a second one.

And it’s just as awesome.

It begins by showing some of the backstage prep to the amazing Live Aid concert in 1985…and we get to see a couple of Freddie Mercury’s (played by Remi Malek) many cats. He was a big cat lover, you see. Then it goes on to give glimpses of his troubled personal life and so on. It has to be said, the surging CG-recreated crowd at Wembley Stadium looks amazing.

Joining Malek is Gwilym Lee as Brian May – lead guitar, Ben Hardy as Roger Taylor – drums and Joseph Mazzello as John Deacon – bass guitar. Mazzello you may remember also starred with Malek in the epic WWII mini-series The Pacific.

The official synopsis…

Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury, who defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet. The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound, their near-implosion as Mercury’s lifestyle spirals out of control, and their triumphant reunion on the eve of Live Aid, where Mercury, facing a life-threatening illness, leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. In the process, cementing the legacy of a band that were always more like a family, and who continue to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day.

The UK is fortunate in that it gets this movie on 24th October, a full week before the US on 2nd November.
